The Healing Power of Relationships

Our relationships seem to be the fertile training ground for many of our most important life lessons. Through our interactions with other people, we learn enormous amounts of information about who we are and how to walk in this world. These lessons sometimes come in pleasant and enjoyable forms, but many times also come through in our most painful experiences and interactions. Although it is hard to immediately see these lessons when we are in the midst of our own pain, there is much learning and wisdom to be gained through the painful and challenging interactions we have with important people in our lives.

Through our relationships with others we are given the opportunity to learn about forgiveness and compassion. We can learn to love more deeply and fully, and to peal back our layers of armor which can be barriers to intimacy and authentic connection. We can also learn about our true divinity when we realize how connected we are to the people in our lives. As we heal from the pain of a difficult argument, break-up, or loss, we are given a chance to learn about our own capacity to love ourselves and other people even more. And when we leave a relationship that no longer serves us, we are given the opportunity to rise up out of the ashes like the phoenix, to fully express our beautiful divinity and power so we can share our light more fully with everyone we meet.

Blessings of Love and Peace
